Will Gaffney: Will, ourfounder, is a keen grassrootsand village cricketer who hasalso played at higher levels,including on tours to Sri Lanka. It was here Will saw first-hand the enormous impact that cricket can have on the lives of those less

fortunate than him. This resulted in Will, then aged only15, founding Bat for a Chance, a young and excitingcricket charity which provides kit to underprivilegedplayers all across the world, and helps to grow the gameof cricket. Will has made it his mission to bring smiles to adults and children around the globe, offering opportunities to play and love the wonderful game of cricket. Will has connected with cricketers in Uganda, the UK, Sierra Leone, Sri Lanka, West Indies, and thousands of Afghan refugees across Europe. Outside of Will’s charity work he is a student studying his A levels“in his spare time”. Will loves his rugby, as well as hiscricket - and he is an inspiration to all those involved inthe charity.

Omar Khan: Omar isone of the UK’sforemost sports’marketers and aleading agent forrightsholders, with aparticular emphasis on cricket and rugby. He is an MCC member and

supports Charlton Athletic. Omar has a network of clientsand partners in the USA, the West Indies, Europe, Indiaand Asia and has been a successful bridge betweencommercial organisations and sports teams and playersseeking to secure significant revenue streams from sponsorship. Omar has previously worked with leading charities “The British Asian Trust” and “Chance to Shine”and has adopted Bat for a Chance because he believescricket is a great way of bringing people together across continents and class and is busy connecting the charity with both income streams and on-the-ground projects across the world from his network of clients and partners. Omar will be leading the Board of Trustees as the charity continues to grow.

Ebba Qureshi: Ebba is a serialsocial entrepreneur andwomen’s rights campaigner,who heads-up “FemGames”, aspecialist girls empowermentand education initiative,delivered through a sports’curriculum, aimed at enhancingthe life-chances of youngwomen in Pakistan. Ebba also heads-up “The Women’s

Walkathon”. Well-networked with the British-Pakistaniand British-Asian community through the British PakistanFoundation, Ebba was a nominee for Pakistan Power 100list of most influential people. She is married to theformer bowling coach of the Pakistan national team, and former Pakistan international Azhar Mahmood. Ebba loves her cricket.

Sabah Hamed: Sabah hasworked within a number ofindustries whilst living-out apassion for making a positivedifference to others through sport and physical activity. Sabah spent twelve years building a

brand in the health and fitnessindustry, particularly focusedon empowering women,

opening-up opportunities through cricket andfitness. Over the last year, whilst based in London, Sabahhas engaged with over 1,500 people across all walks oflife, helping them find their place in the game. Sabah isthoroughly excited about being a part of Bat for a Chance, bringing together both her passion and motivation for making a difference. Sabah is excited to join as a trustee of the charity.

Shiv Haria-Shah: Shiv is a Barristerand trusted advisor to some of theworld's most successful and well-known companies and their leadersin relation to investigations, governance and compliance and regulatory defence. His practice spans both civil and criminal work and most of his work is international

in nature. He was elected to the Bar Council in 2016 andhas acted as mentor for the Social Mobility Foundationfor over five years. He served as a governor of an OFSTED“outstanding” rated Infant and Junior school andcurrently sits on the Advisory Board of the WoolwichContemporary Print Fair. He was a founding boardmember of an organisation which seeks to improve ties between the UK and India and prior to his career at the Bar, he sat as a magistrate and worked for a former member of the Cabinet. He played cricket for the University of Cambridge and is a life-member of the MCC. He took the Parliamentary Cricket Team to India in 2012, played in the inaugural “Cricket Builds Hope”Tournament in Rwanda and in in two Lawyers’ Cricket World Cup tournaments.

Christopher Tooley:Christopher is a co-founderof the Lycamobile group ofcompanies and has servedas CEO since 2014. With 30years of experience in thetelecoms industry, he haspioneered many of thetechnical, commercial

and regulatory standardsin the UK and Europe for prepaid products and hasworked extensively with Government regulators and taxauthorities. He holds a BA in History and Economics andan Mst and MA in History from Oxford University, wherehe won three cricket blues and was Captain of OxfordUniversity in 1987. He also won a boxing blue. He is anMCC Member and has played club cricket for Bromley CCsince 1980 and has toured the world with various cricket teams. He has served on various cricket committees for

Gordon Lee: Gordon is aBarrister specialising inPublic Law, Immigration andAsylum, Civil Liberties andHuman Rights, having worked on many landmark Public Law cases, including before the Supreme Court. Instructed by a wide variety

of Claimants challenging public bodies and GovernmentDepartments, with

nabled him to travel to many cricket-lovingcountries including Sri Lanka, Australia, Pakistan andIndia. He has also played in Rwanda where cricket isslowly but surely on the rise following the opening of theNational Cricket Stadium in Kigali, allowing Gordon to witness first-hand how cricket can change lives.

Nicky Gaffney: Mum to Will, Nickyhelps him with the day to dayrunning of the charity. She is aconsultant Solicitor, and has workedin City firms and as in-house counsel. Her areas of experience include acquisitions, property finance and development, employment, commercial contracts, and general corporate issues. Her clients have

been from across sectors – government, finance, retail,leisure, logistics, energy, commercial property, andconstruction. As a Head of Legal, Nicky set up and ran theEuropean legal department, head-quartered in the UK, ofan international conglomerate, overseeing high value international acquisitions, disposals and property re- developments. Nicky is a qualified parent support worker and has founded a successful floristry business which remains a creative outlet. She is a school Governor and

a particular interest in judicial reviews

of alleged unlawful detention and higher courtappeals. When it comes to cricket Gordon has always hada passion for the game and has represented England inthe Lawyers Cricket World Cup on multiple occasions.

Ross Campbell: Ross is aChartered Accountant witha long history of working atsenior levels in the CivilService as a specialist accountant, particularlyworking on financingPublic Private Partnerships.Ross has held senior roles

at the Ministry of Defence and HM Treasury, where heoversaw all financial reporting policy and had

ownership of the Government accounting and publicexpenditure frameworks, sitting as a member of theFinancial Reporting Advisory Board (FRAB) and led theUK engagement on International Public SectorAccounting Standards. Ross was also a Director at theNational Audit Office. After leaving government hewas a Director at the ICAEW, his professional body, with responsibility for all of the institute’s policy work withthe Public Sector and on Infrastructure. Ross is now themanaging director of a specialist consultancy form working with public sector bodies including the Royal Navy. He is a member of two accountancy institutes(ICAEW and CIPFA) and has read for degrees in Psychology at the University of St Andrews and War Studies at Kings College London. He is a Director of the Forces in Mind Trust, the Treasurer of the Charity for Civil Servants and is excited about bringing hisexperience to Bat for a Chance. Ross lives in Londonand Gloucestershire.

Pete Rhodes: Pete’s sport spans30+ years, across all levels fromgrass roots to the OlympicGames. Beginning in UniversitySport, his career culminated in leading the GB team to two World University Games in the US in 1993 and Japan in 1995, followed by working with Euro 96, then joining a start-up

charity, the Youth Sport Trust with the responsibility forgenerating over £6m of income from sponsorship andevents and over £6m of recurrent income to fuel thepromotion of school and youth sport. In 2003, shelvingplans for a new business venture, Pete became a fundraiser for the Olympic Games and Team GB, developing and delivering a new fundraising events programme from the Athens, Turin and Beijing Olympic Games. All for Good was finally launched fully in 2008 with a mission to use sport as a force for good. Working alongside sporting personalities, sport sponsors and charities, All for Good continues to deliver fundraising events, sponsorship activation and consulting projects –all generating profile and valuable funds to make adifference to good causes.
